This magazine is comprehensive and well laid out for the general collector and specialist alike. Included as regular features are editorials, market reports, and classified ads. Also included is a partial price guide of U.S. coins that rotates between series every three months. One of our favorite regular features is "Coin Capsule", a historic account of numisiatic related and non-related events for a given year. Down sides include too much advertising in each issue and the fact that the price guide is printed in a near-microscopic font.

This is an all encompassing publication about news and events in the numismatic community. There are more comprehensive magazines, but this still covers the hobby inexpensively and completely enough for those of us with busy schedules who can't read the larger or more frequent periodicals.

This is the information source for all the hobby news. There is more information packed into one issue than almost any other magazine publication that I can think of. There are many ads and other fluff things to wade through, but they help to offset the cost. This publication is frequently more than 100 pages per week so the ads help defray the cost. Get the magazine for six months and I guarantee you that if you like numismatics you will not be disapointed.

Another indispensible coin price reference guide, just remember that this is wholesale and that you will not always get coins for these prices. Many people forget this and do not allow for normal dealer overhead and profit for coins. This is a fairly expensive publication and you will not want to subscribe unless you have serious reasons to do so. (like owning a coin dealership)
