GETTING YOUR TWO CENTS WORTH

first edition, 1994. Kevin Flynn and Robert Paul, Rancocas, NJ.
112 pages, est. price $15.00

by Kevin Flynn
coppercoins.com rating :

A complete reference to two cent doubled dies, repunched dates, clashed diers and overdates. There was not enough information about values, nor is this guide by any stretch of the imagination complete. Don't be fooled by machine doubling which almost all of the two cent pieces we have examined exhibit. All in all this is still a great reference book and certainly needed for any two-cent collector.

THE TWO CENT PIECE AND VARIETIES

This book really deserved more stars but why would anyone put together a die variety book WITHOUT any pictures? The book is set up very similar to Dr. Sheldon's "Penny Whimsy" with the coin markers and plain language for determining the proper coin die. The problem is that without pictures it is nearly impossible to make any assesment of coins in a collection for comparison purposes. Enough of that, the book is quite well done otherwise. Still an important book, at least until someone does one with pictures.
