Steven, do you recall when you posted the overlay showing the obv/rev in omne shot? Also, do you have the same thing on the wheats? I think what I have in another post, is the stems of the wheat sprig. Thanks,
Dick

Dick,
I haven't worked one up with a wheat but I will try to get one done up soon as I can. Is yours rotated any. That could make a big difference.

Steven you do, and it is. That is what I figured, a clsahed die. Comparing the coin with the post, you are dead on! The stem is sure there, (under "god"). THank you so very much!

Steven, and Coop, Here is what I found, and also am referring to when I made mention of the marks in, and above the edge lettering. Note the lines abobe God, and Trust. They correspond to the wheat stem(s). I thought there was one coin that had both, the lines, AND the clash mark, as well, but seems I was wrong.
Here are three more photos that show the lines.

Dick: I saw those in the batch I got from Catherine, but not the one you posted earlier. Will have to look again.

Coop, not all of them have these marks. I went thru all of mine again, and noted if both the "stem" was in place, and if the marks near the edge were also in place, and didn't find any. Not all of the coins she sent have the clash marks, or the lines, (evidently from a "bump", prior to a strike, or some other reason, to be determined). I also noted several MM varieties. I think there were ten, all told, but only nine were sited.

Coop, are you "up" on the Photoshop 7.0? I have a copy incoming. I imagine it is a cd. If so, and if you are nterested, maybe I can burn you a copy.
I want to learn enough about it to be almost as good as you, and Steven, ED, Bob P, and Chuck. Now that I think of it, I'll never be that good. Maybe just good enough to post a decent photo!

Dick: the older version works great for me. Thanks for the offer though. When you get started you will have a bunch of questions. I already have the answer for the first one........
