Steven, I'll have to jump on the other unit, and then set up photoshop, being as it is on this one. Hang loose...

When you are ready bring up a photo on photo shopp and make sure the tool bar is up as well.then we can start. Sounds like you may be doing this the hard way using two computors?? but I guess that will work too.

On the tool bar there is a line tool clik on it then move you pointer over the photo and click and drag in any direction. If the arrow is too large or small at the top of the page it should have a weight number that you can change to 0.1 or higher.
If you do not like the arrow size or placement then you can go to the edit button and select step backward to remove it. You can repeat the step backward as may times as you have added.
lets see where you are at from there.

I found the "T", and clicked on the vertical opne, (of four). I had to increasse the size of the photo, because it was too small to see!

You dont need to increase the photo size. go to the top of the screen where it says weight and change the weight size of the line to 0.2 or 0.3. adjust the weight not the photo. you will have to have the line tool clicked to see the weight at the top though.

Founf the line tool, and tried 1 px, but couldn't see the line, so went to 5 px. It is a bit wide, but I can put it where I want. I also tried to put a pointer but no dice. I went some steps backward to the first line I made.

I went backward a few steps, and have the weight at ,05cm. it was in px. I hit buttons, and get lost, then I have to hunt to get bask where I was,or almost. AQnyway, I can put the arrow where , and from the direction I want.

This should give you some to work with for a while. Gotta get to bed. Gonna be sitting on a promotional board tommorrow and have to be well rested for about 20 candidates.
Have fun with it.
I'll be back on line tommorrow at about 5pm Central.
One more thing to remmember though after you have what you want you need to go to the layer button and click on merge visible before saving.
