Since everything seems to be coins, coins, coins, I figured that we talked some politics. Just for fun of course.

A lot is in the news about Iran and their nuclear program. Was wondering what the feeling from some of the people about this, since it seems to me that it will be a huge issue within this year.

Hope this isnt too off topic, and I hope that it doesnt get out of hand. Really, not my intention. Just some a clean, and civilized discussion.

Enjoy!

Nukes, Nukes, Nukes; having "lived" with 16 of them for most of my military career, each one having the equivilant fire power of all the ordinance of WW II, including the two A-bombs dropped, I can see little sense of adding more to a world over burdened with Nukes.

Of course we are talking about Iran, a country with an idealistic, Islamic, "peaceful" relegion, who for some reason have a intense hatred for the west (like that is nothing new; this hatred has just festered since the first Crusade).

Sure, let them build their little toy and then sneak one into the west where some group of suicidal maniacs will set it off. This will give us the excuse to lobe a couple of hundred Nukes in retaliation, giving Allah back what he desires, martyrs for the faith. Of course, the price for virgins will skyrocket, but what the heck, they have the oil to pay for it.

Nukes, yes, every little country should have at least one. This way they can feel not left out in the cold. Then in the near or distant future, when there is cause for everyone to lanch everything we can have a second brief sun in our solar system.

Yes, Nukes, you just got to love them!!!!!!!!!

BJ, and others, Nukes are not the problem. (I know, everybody knows that). THe problem is with a few idiots that have lost all their morals, or didn't have any to start with! "Way back when" I was still flying Sea-Planes, and there was a reason we carried the "Mark-90". It was never used, and there was no reason to use it.
The fact that we, "Have Nukes, Will Travel", doesn't mean we have to use them, but in the event we do, be sure WE WILL!
As far as the Virgins are concerned, I think that when all the "RADICAL Martyrs" arrive, that the Virgins might "JUST SAY NO"!
THe biggest thing that the world has, is pure ENVY! We are the only country that lives our Democracy! Many other countries have a "Democracy", but it is only ion name. England enjoys a sort of democracy, but NO KINGDOM is a Democracy! Other countries, same thing, but under a very restricted form of government, that is not like OURS! For this, the world hates us, for what we are, and what we have!
If it ever comes down to "whoever can fire a gun", is accepted in our defense, you can be sure, this ld man will be first in line! Be it our border, or our Nation. BEWARE!

It's scary that many people seem to ignore how much danger there is when crazy thinking places get power.

Everyday it seems the focus is on economics, moving big companies that are required for our security to other places.

I'd hate to see a big war and we'll be hiring Haliburton from Dubai for our military contract work, ordering some high tech chips from the electronics companies that built their new factories in China. Ordering some new cargo ships from Hyundai in Korea, some oil from our dear Saudi pals.

The only thing I can get that was made here was a zinc cent and even that is threatened with extinction. Wink

Since I started this thread.. I think Ill chime in.

What I find the most worrying about the situation is that the country of Iran has a nuclear program. This is a country who has called America the "Great Satan". The country who claimed that Israel should be wipped, and the same country that brainwashes its people to become suicide bombers.

Nuclear deterence worked against the USSR, but how do you make that work with an enemy who actually wants to die while trying to kill you?

Anyways, since Iran claims that it will not stop its nuclear program no matter what.. I have come to the conclusion that conflict is innevitable (sadly). Even if the US (because of politics or other reason) doesnt commit to airstrikes over Iran (similar to Desert Fox in 1998) the Israelis will do it alone. I have no dought that Israel will do it alone, if it needs to.

Gabe, I agree with you, except. Israel can't do it alone. It can't do much of anything, now, for two reasons. The loss of Ariel Sharone, (SP), was the reason they failed in Lebanon. The only thing that might help them, noe is if Netanyahu, (SP) gets back in, and decides that it is necessary. He is an excellent politicion, and capable of dealing with Iran, (Govt, not the people, because the people are not with the govt), and if not, he will not heesitatelaunch an attack against the areas most likely to have more advanced Nuclear capability. That is when the US should prove the alliance, and hit Iran with a blast, and at the same timme warn N. Korea to stand clear, or the same will happen there. ( This is my personal position. I don't like to see countries driven into nothing because there are other countries that envy what they have).
Syria should be included in the IRAQ agenda.
Sorry if I have offended anyone. I have TWO grand-sons going to IRAQ, now, instead of just one!

I am afraid I will make no friends tonight... If I offend I AM sorry!!

Nukes. There are currently 248 "Missing" nukes loose in the world today. Why would I worry about Irans program? They are probably reverse building as we speak. Besides, no one can get close enough to hit us. Last I heard Russia doesn't have any (yeah right!!) and no one else has them that travel more than 1000 miles. I could be wrong. I saw a map, once about a year ago. I was surpised to see Brazil has 3.
I don''t care if they turn their desert into a skating rink, we can build a wall around it and charge addmission..., bring your own roller skates!!

Haves vs. Haves nots...
Democracy vs. the world...

You actually believe we live in a true democracy?

IRAN my friends is just like Iraq... Big smoke, no fire!!
