I guess a very slow day searching can become a very nice one in a hurry! I just found the following coin, and it is only the second variety I found today after searching 6 rolls of Circ Memorials:
Yep, this is the 2006P-1DO-018 (doubled earlobe). This one is a very nice EDS specimen, so photos will go on the site today to join the pics of the MDS coin found by BJ Neff.
Has anyone else found one of these...or the Murph die (2006P-1DO-017)? I am still trying to figure out how many of both of these varieties are out there. I know of 3 of the doubled earlobe were found in Florida so far, and I think all of the 017 dies have been found in Indiana/Kentucky. Anyone else??

Bob,
Great find, bet it made your day.
I found one 2 weeks ago.
I saw it was a P and thought better see if it's a DDO and was hoping to find that 017.
Amazingly it was a coin I picked up in the parking garage at Sky Harbor airport. It could have came from anyplace but I'm sure it came with a visitor because we don't get many P coins here unless we buy rolls from far away. Sadly the coin has a few dings, maybe somebody stepped oin it but what the heck, it made my day even if it's not perfect. Best variety I've found on the ground and I think only a few have ever been found.
So next time someone see a penny on the ground get it!

ED, I made a "courtesy" request of the members of "our" forum, to identify their "EBAY" store, so we could know with whom we deal, and in the event of an "agressive bidding" session, we would not be bidding each other up, endessly. A few gave that info, but for the most part, the request seemed to be "declined" I checked just to see if I could recognize one of our mrmbers, but I don't recall, (in my short time on the forum), any "tjcurry" 101 coin store. maybe some one else might. "tjcurry" uses the coppercoins labling, and referrs to the site, etc. Member? Visitor? From PA.

I know I've mentioned copper coins a time or two in the past, but I'm kdlcomp. Is it OK to mention the site on eBay?

inetdist: Is David Mulberry. Mr. 10,000 image. He is very nice to deal with and has a lot of RPMs-WRPMs-doubled dies and rolls. I've even bought a few rolls of RPMs from him. Great guy. We've traded coins and I've done images for him.

That's great to know about Mr. Mulberry. In fact, if he has been on ebay for more than a couple of years I have probably done business with him myself some years ago. I go back to 1997 and most of my coin dealings on eBay were pre-2003.

Re inetdist, I didn't know who he is until now, but I do know David, and have had the pleasure of dealing with him, but privately. You can do no wrong, dealing with him!

We don't get P mint cents here, so finding one here is like finding a needle in a haystack of needles. Oh well, I can remain bummed that all the goodies come from the East, yet be happy that people I know are finding them.
Good going Bob!
