From the same batch that the 1947 Lincoln cent with doiubled eyelid came from, here is a 1948, Philadelphia minted Lincoln cent with a doubled eyelid. Not listed in CONECA or Coppercoins, it again proves that there is still a lot to be found in those "unsearched" wheaties.

creilly, you should keep them since they are true doubled dies. I have tons of them also, and many I havent gotten to get attributed here. Eventually I will, but I have too many that it seems a bit difficult to know where to start.

I hear ya Gabe! Class 6 reverse doubled dies, and class 4 doubled eyelids are very abundant. I have lots of unattributed ones her also.

With having just surpassed 2,000 varieties on the site, I'm figuring there's enough material in the hands of just the board members here to push us over 3,000, and by the time we hit that number, there could be enough to push us close to 4,000 by the time all is said and done. Back when I conceived this site I figured there "might" be 2,000 different varieties total in the Lincoln cent series. Boy was I wrong.

There are still a LOT of them out there that have yet to be listed. Bob and I together have at least 500-700 currently in our hoards that haven't been listed, some of them are very nice. One day at a time, folks...one day at a time.

Now you know why I am reeluctant to return my "checked cents" to circulation. First, I can't see all of them, and they all aren't that easy to find! Happy hunting!
