This guy in the UK sees a TV ad, for a household cleaner called "Cillit Bang", in which British copper coins are cleaned. The guy tries to duplicate the ad with mixed results. I really like how he summed up what he has "learnt". And I quote:
It takes £20.27 of copper coins to fill a traffic cone.
It takes three litres of Cillit BANG! to 'clean' 1384 coins.
It costs £15.24 to 'clean' £20.27 worth of copper.
It takes about three quarters of a kitchen roll, to dry 1384 coins.
TV people lie, and lie to your face, in your own home, out of your own telly.
Advertisers have NO morals.
Read the label before use.

So for only £15.24 he can damage 1384 copper coins.
OUCH! Hope they were just his lunch money.
