This message is also in the "The Weather Your Cat" thread, responding to wavysteps invite to the CONECA forum. In the General" section of the forum is a link to Billy Crawford's Die Variety News E-Magazine. He is reporting a doubled die John Adams dollar and refers to "extra raised remnants" at the juncture of the arm and the cloak on Liberty as evidence of the doubled die. But I cannot see for sure what is doubled there. For example, he says that the doubling "originates within the folds of the design", but the design of the cloak has curves that are convex and the doubled remnant has a curve that is concave in shape. I suggested there that the remnant might be a die break. Does anyone have any comments? I also left this message at the CONECA forum to get something going there and wavysteps has replied.
Here is a link to the magazine.
