I reported a few days ago, the first known 1923P doubled die. Today, I have found what might be the first 1973P doubled die reverse. Once again, it is nothing spectacular, but it does show that the dates we have always assumed had little or nothing, might have some surprises for us yet. The nicest part of this particular variety is the notching on the R of AMERICA.
Sounds like the same one. I din't think to look at any of John's cross reference material, but this definitely sounds like it. Thanks!! _________________ Bob Piazza
