Here is a remarkable, previously unknown, 1924-D class 8 DDO with a medium to strong spread as an extra bar under the L of LIBERTY. I certainly would have overlooked had it not been for the 1915-D class 8 DDO I found a few months ago. http://www.coppercoins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3088&highlight=
As BJ Neff noted, these DDO's are know from 1915 thru 1929 from the Denver mint caused by the same errant tiltted hub collar. Steve

Very nice find on an even nicer dated Lincoln cent. Yes, it is a Class VIII, DDO and maybe one day they will be all listed.

It may require a project that I could start next year.

Like so many of my purchases, this one was an upgrade for my collection. It's a nice coin that is rather tough in this grade (AU) (my local dealer said it was the finest he has seen). Who knows what is worth with the DDO. Steve

Not much more...

If that's a DDO, which I am not completely convinced of, it is a very minor one. being that it's on a semi key coin, there's not much room for premium value. Most people who would want to buy a 1924D in AU aren't willing to pay extra for one that has a minor doubled die.
