That is a die crack. If it does progress, that section may chip out.

I would normally guess die wear, but die wear is usually toward the rim. But I'm guessing die gouges. If you notice you see fading die scratches in the same direction in the field above the field. Die scratches usually flatten as the die ages. But these are deeper than scratches, but may have happened at the same time as the scratches. IMOHO
