Does this look like a RPM, or is it something else.

It could be the -004, altho there is no photo posted on the site. The "left-overs" indicate it might be a S/S-East, or South-East. It would help if you posted a close-up of the MM.

A lot of factors can affect the 1943 Cents. Die wear/re-processing/machine doubling and all can occur on the same coin. The bottom of the S looks like machine doubling and the upper parts of the 43 look like die wear. If the coin has been re-processed, then that enhances the appears even more. But the self look on the lower mint mark looks pushed and not punched. But wait for others to chime in. They may see something I missed?

Speaking of "re-processed" cents, If they have been re-processed, they may be nice and shiny, but they are worth just what the words say: one cent! Re-processed cents, "painted coins"! Not a nice thing to do to a possible error, or variety.

This is as good as I can get them;
if I enlarge them any further they become too distorted
Same coin different lighting

If you notice all the appeared doubling flows toward the rim. The usual direction for die wear and some machine doubling. If you can see it on the date & mintmark in the same direction, then it is usually NOT die doubled/RPM/variety. Usually not a collectable. This is what I can see on the numbers/mint mark on your images.

This coin does suffer from the machine doubling so many 1943 cents do. There is little doubt in my mind that it is not an RPM.
