It sure does look like it. The dead give away for me was the B in LIBERTY. Nice find!

The big 41 DDOs get a lot of interest especialy if they are red or RB uncs they get good $.

Here's a die 1 and a die 2 on the bay:

Although the Die-002 on EBay is a nice example, hopefully no one in their right mind would shell out $4,000 for an MS64RB example of this doubled die. The Cherry Pickers guide says an MS63 example is worth $150. His 'experience' says die 2 is more rare than die 1, but in my experience, and like the CPG says, you need to do a lot more searching to find the die 1. In 40 years of searching, I have found 5 Die 1,s and 11 die 2's.
The strength of the doubling on die 2 is very nice though, so any example you find is a great find!

Bob,

I've seen the same, more 1DO-002s than 001s.

The other (die-1) is a better example of value, it went for $850 in PCGS 64RB in real auction. Still a bit more than they listed for in the old CPG and full reds go for a lot more.

They listed these at $125-$150 in MS63 (at the time of the old CPG) but they go for more now. It seems reasonable, people pay $150 for high graded 1995 DDOs but they are offered every day and a huge population exists but unc or red 1941 DDOs are hardly ever seen.

I agree Ed, and my reply may have been a little vague. I would also pay more for a real nice example of either die 1 or 2 in a higher grade than what the CPG suggests. No matter what you say though...4 grand is a bit (a LOT actually) more than anyone should spend onthis variety.
