smed, thanks for the link. I checked it out, and left an inquiry as to the possibility of buying a box or what ever the limit is, per month, to see if I could get some circulated cents. Later on I will go for the nickels, provided, there is a way. thanks, again for the info.

Here's a nice red-brown cent I picked up the other day.
I'll guess this is around MS62 RB. [ ]

Kurt, that is a nice looking cent. It looks to be a MAD, as well. Check the area K-2, REV. It looks a bit thin. Might be just the angle.

Thanks...another $3 penny!
MAD--MD? What does K-2 refer to? I do see a bit of an off alignment on the rim....

Kurt, The MAD, indicates a "miss-aligned--die". The K-2 indicates a [position on the clock. Thus on the reverse at 2 o'clock, it looks like it might be just a bit of mis-alignment. The OBV. looks okay. Nice find. Speaking of finds, a found a 1999 cent, with MD, Machine-doubling on the date, the stem of the Maple leaf, and the last "A" in Canada. I'll post as photo,, later.

Nice Pictures and Coin Kurt. If I may ask, what type camera, scope or setup do you have for pictures. Also it is a MAD, very small but a Nice buy for a nice looking coin.(MAD only add's to the value)

Thanks Rhubarb...that's good to know!
I have a Nikon D70S, with the Nikkor 60mm does 1:1 macro shots. The lens tends to pick up every detail. As I usually only shoot natural light (mostly nature pics) my lighting could be improved for copper coins--I'll need to experiment.

Copper coins like darker backrounds. that is why I always use a black material over my ramp to get the color looking nicer. Others prefer while, But I like the darker colors.

Kurt, here is the MD I was talking about, earlier:
I don't like the setup on this, because I don't havwe NY CONTROL OVER THE LIGHT, OTHER THAN A DIFFUSER NEXT TO THE LIGHT, ITSELF.

KurtS, that is one of those sent by Maryjf. I have always kept the MD's. I like the looks of them Some are quite exagerated. I haven't gound any die breaks, or die cracks, yet, but I have a large batch to check thru. That will keep me nusy for a while. I went thru the 53, 55,65, and 85, but all I fiound were the more common types. I now have them all sorted by date, and will be able to go thru them a bit more leisurely. There was only 700 of them!
