I came across this 1944-D ( RPM I hope ) a few days ago and I’ve been trying to figure out which one it is
, it looks similar to the 1944-D post that was listed here a few weeks ago.
I am still trying to get the hang of trying to identify markers, is that die gouges above the second T ? . I hope that I’m on the right track.
I am also trying to get a little better close-up pictures ( sorry if they are a bit blurry )

Looks like 1944D-1MM-002 from what I can see. You might check the markers on the site to see it it is a match.

Drew,
I think it's the 002 also. Are you referring to the lines going North on the T. If you are there die deterioation or die fatigue lines. If you see a gouge, I can't see one. Perhap's better pictures. Nice find on the 1944-1MM-002

that’s what I was wondering about the marks going north on the top of the T.
I don’t know why my photos are small , when I crop and save them they are good size but when I post them they look about one third the size and I have to enlarge the page using the zoom feature in the browser.
One day I’ll figure out just what to look for when it comes to the markers, but it looks like it’s going to be a long road ahead..

What size are you making them. The perfect size for the forum is 600-800 pixels wide. That way they don't make the screen too large and you don't have to scroll across to read the text on the screen. The heigth can be any size. The width is the problem. The devices that face the edge tend to show the strongest wear toward the rim. But the gouges in this area seem to last longer than the scratches in the fields. Also the die flow runs in that direction because of wear. So there are plus and minus in both areas for markers. Some last/fade/ or are permanent. (Cracks/chips/breaks/cuds)

I’ll go back over to the test forum and experiment with the size of my pictures.
and thinking about maybe it I should post the 1972 double dies that I have just to make sure that I have the right die assigned to them,.
I’m still trying to get a good clear close-up of this coin, but I drank to much coffee to get a steady shot of it. I tried to take pictures in the evening after a few cocktails but I kept falling of the chair, the good news is I have some nice shots of my ceiling.

Didn't you use the seat belt and have your tray in the upward position??

Drew, I do that quite often, and I don't even drink coctails! I just fall asleep, and BANG, I find myself on the floor! I think it is caused by watching TV, and the Politicians, and all their lies!
Coop, that is not a good idea. When the plane hits a down-draft, you get the tray in the "kisser"!
