1968-D with notched S on reverse

This 1968-D has a notch on the S but nothing else. It's not a bag mark since I found 9 of these from the same die in the roll. I'm thinking just a well placed die chip? Any thoughts

I think your statement about it being a well places chip of some sort is right on Ed. I see nothing else to indicate it is anything other than that.
