This 1968-D has a notch on the S but nothing else. It's not a bag mark since I found 9 of these from the same die in the roll. I'm thinking just a well placed die chip? Any thoughts Confused




Here's a 68-D that is a known DDR (1DR-001 Die-001 FS-027.4) just for comparison:

I think your statement about it being a well places chip of some sort is right on Ed. I see nothing else to indicate it is anything other than that.

Look at the width difference on the EPU of both coins. Sweet. Nice find Ed.
