Pierre, can you tell me where the extra water line was placed? I have checked several dates, and can't find any difference. Can you say specifically where it was added? Thanks very much,

I picked this up today.
Dick

Dick: The book I have has a few in the 1947 range to 1983 Nickels. Not all dates. Just several through different areas. Even BU ones of the 1967 with the rabbit on it.

My book shows it ,50, in MS-63, and $50.00 in MS-65. I thought the rabbit was asking God, "Where are you"?, in case the Deacon should ask.....

Dick, I'm sorry to tell you this...but that's not the XWL. Sad The extra line is irregular above the straight one and it almost underlines the K-G.

Kurt, I knew it was not the XWL. I posted it for reference to which SOMEONE could indicate the position of the XWL. I compared it with several others, and knew it was NOT the one. Thanks for "locating the extra line. now I knnow where it is, (or will be, when I find one with it), !

Oh man...LOL! I'm such a partial post reader. Laughing
Thanks Dick!

Btw, here's a diagnostic for the XWL:

Kurt, thanks for the pics. I didn't see them until you edited your post. they are NOT in my book, so it makes this day worthwhile!
I "raided my local shop-keepers foreign coins today, and in spite of my being careful, I did manage to get a Filipine quarter, and a 2 pfennig coin. Otherwise, there were two quarters, and 17 dimes, and 16 nickels, for $7.00 Forgot to mention 7 cents, also.

Dick, that sounds like an enjoyable day for $7!
At the show today, I found a few US varieties, several outstanding NFLD coins, a 1953 1c SF in XF, and a 1947 1c ML blunt 7 in probably MS 63+ RB! Cool

Still no more 49ATs...alas! Confused

Well I have three 1964 Nickels. All the common one. Always nice to try to find something.

I was sitting here rading the mail, with a box-1/2 of coins on my lap, and decided they mist go! Looks like you had a nice day, yourself Kurt. I am the proud owner of three more folders, and all lack the same coins: early 20's.... '22, '23, '24, '25. '26, 5 each of the prior, and two'36's Two of the folders have a hole for the 1936-dot, but I'll pass on that one!. Looks like we are going to be nusy, but the weather seems to be with us, so enjoy the hunt! I asked the shop-owner to save all Canadian coins for me: large, small, and in-between. I got one box of square tubes yesterday, and have two more on order, along with several folders, US, & Canadian coins.
That was a nice looking cent, the off-center one. I keep my eye peeled for them , but don't often see them.
Been a long day! Stuffing tubes with extras, and making rolls out of the full dates.
Dick

Dick,
After searching this show, I didn't find any worthwhile sources for the George V cents. Most were priced retail (unacceptable to me), overgraded, cleaned, or had problems in some way. However, I found some nice US varieties and a number of beautiful NFLD coins.

I also found this 1872 50c (double punched A), but the grade was a bit low for me so I just told the dealer what he had, and a rough value--8X of the regular coin. I enjoy shocking dealers once in a while. Laughing
