I went to the GNA coin show this weekend and made a super find and buy. I bought an 1870 PCGS MS64RD. When I ask to look at the coin and couldn't believe my eyes when I looked at the reverse. I ask for a price and then left the table to research my CP guide, sure enough it was the DDR. Went back bought the coin and smiled the rest of the day. I found the coin within 15 min after the show opened. The coin is for sale. I can't decide if I want to send it back to PCGS to have coin attributed or sale as is. If anyone knows anyone interested you can have them contact me.

It's probably worth getting the FS number added to the label, I would send it back in the holder so the grade stays same Smile

Neat find!

Nice find! You're probably lucky Rick Snow wasn't at that show...he tends to focus on that year, due to the important varieties Laughing

I found an 1870 Snow-8 last year, but nowhere near MS grade...VF20 perhaps. I would enjoy seeing pics of your coin.

According to Rick Snow, the S-8 has at least 3 impressions of the date around the denticles.
