If the difference is merely the style of the Gasparo's initials, I would agree the close AM/wide AM varieties have a bit more visibility, and that seems to ultimately influence collector appeal. Of course, I'm a relatively inexperienced collector of Lincoln varieties. Cool

If he opened OBW rolls, he could have found more than one example per roll. I found 19 of one variety in a OBW roll once. Other times I've found only one. Its just the luck of the draw.

I would be interested too. I've been following this variety very closely since it's discovery. By my count, as of today, there are a total of seventeen Philadelphia coins reported and one Denver coin. Where did you read this story about a guy having fifteen of them? I've got at least ten sets of reliable eyes actively on the look-out for news on this variety. I can't believe they would all have missed a statement like that.
