I think I'm getting closer to identifying them, hopefully. I could not find an image that was exact, so I'm hoping someone can identify.....If it is one Rolling Eyes I'm going to take another pic of his beard area, it looks like something going on there?!

Bob, could this be called class 6 , "distended doubling"? I'm not sure if that is the correct class.

I dont see any hub doubling on that coin. I think that what you are pointing to is machine doubling.

The first few pics are new. Guess I just don't get it? The doubling is not shelf like. Try and Try again.

I don't believe this to be hub doubling either. Remember that the dates on most 1944 coinage had master die doubling, but the motto on this coin looks like mechanical doubling to me.

Looks normal to me, the normal master doubling and some MD on IGWT.

On the 1944 (and 1943) cents look close at the lower section of the TY of liberty. That's where a lot of them show and it is easy to miss. There are also some nice wide class 6 DDOs for both years.

Lets see the eye area of the face? There is a mark under the beard that looks like die wear or possibly something else. An image there might reveral something.
