Tery: I see normal coins in the image. On the 1955-D Cent there appears to be something going on the LIBERTY. But that is just master die damage. Check page # 160 in Chucks book to see more information about the 1955 Cents. There is images of the "Poor Man's" So called doubled die and the BIGGIE doubled die. Nice reading and the image shows you what the strongest doubled die looks like. It helps you also to appreciate what happened during the hubbing to make this a doubled die. Most doubled dies are minor compared to this one. It is also the one with the highest demand also. Nice reading there.

Teryble - let me break the news to you, the coin that you did post has a RPM. It is very evident from the split serifs, both upper and lower.

So, even if it is not a doubled die, it is a RPM.

Congrats on the RPM, and I actually like the wear...it reminds me of hand-hammered copper.

Yea!!!! I guess I'm still a little clueless as to what I'm looking for. The RPM you are referring to is the tiny little bumps on the outer edge of the D? Thanks for everyones help and my patience with education Rolling Eyes Took a break from it this weekend as I was going crosseyed. So I made a little beach in my back yard! I do have more sand, this just the patio area!
Now back to the penny farm Laughing

Hey Teryble,
Go to EBAY and do a search for Lincoln DDO's and RPM's. Some sellers post some really nice detailed pics and you can get to see some varieties in all states of wear. It can really help to show you where the Pick Up Points (PUPS) are.
Enjoy the hunt.

Teryble - that photo of your back yard looks like where I live in South Florida...sand everywhere.

That be Florida. I live 2 min. from Siesta, but I paid for the sand??? Don't have to deal w/ bridge traffic. Also rip tides!

Thanks for tip Rocco (by the way you have some beautiful and meaningful coins!) Where did you find such jewels?

Steven...........I wish!

Hmm. I live 24.5 miles from Siesta. I spent part of the day last weekend at the beach there. Maybe we should get together sometime and compare notes.

Chuck, you mention there is sand everywhere. I agree, and there are the mosquitos. They are everywhere, too! I mean huge clouds of them! I spend time in Jacksonville, and later Boca Chica. I didn't have to endure a hurricane while I was in either place. I guess I was blessed! take care, and make sure you have everything anchored good, it is that time of the year!

Knock on wood, no problems with mosquitos that I have seen. A few here and there, but not the clouds of them that people say are here.

Chuck, I hope it stays this way. Maybe it is more of a problem, in the island chain.

I'm sorry to tell ya Chuck, but we haven't had any rain lately and that is the reason you don't have many yet......When we begin our daily afternoon rain showers, they will start to breed.
Best advice keep anything around your home free from standing water..i.e. planters tires, anything that will hold water. Citronella plants can be planted around your home and will help a little, also Citronella Candles. There is also that hour or so at dusk, they do swarm, but tend to lighten up a little after dark.
Welcome to my State Smile Also if you watch at dusk, you should be able to see bats eating those pesky mosquitos!
