Just thought I would share...received this in change this morning. Struck thru grease I'm guessing? Sorry for the glare but I have a heck of a time with shiney coins

Kurt, I don't know if this would be pracital, but if you, (and Coop, this is dirrected to you as well), were to put some neutral colored material, very thin, and silky, across the shing coin, and then shoot the image that shows, it might get rid of the glare. I was just thinking, and the light flashed.

Dick, there's a good idea for reducing glare. Depending on the coin, I often put a white mesh between my lighting and coin to diffuse the reflections, making them less "hot". I shot a coin this evening that I'll post shortly to "World Copper".
