Carol, it is very rare you see one like that. The composition is the first thing to affect the grade, and appearance, so with the surface of that coin being nearly perfect, it got a very high grade. That is almost unique for a zinc coin.

Not the same grade though. The weakness on the reverse would hurt the grading. Prices seem to doubled each grade they go up after MS-65.

84 is tough to find in that high of a grade from PCGS.

Still I'd rather have the cash Razz

If you send a random bunch of 84 cents for grading from a roll they probably get a lot of 63-64 RD, even 65 RD would be the good ones and anything better is great.

If I had 2K to spend on a coin, I could think of alot better investments than a glorified 1984. That wouldnt be on my radar.
