There are so many minor class 6 doubled dies out there that I doubt they will ever all be documented.

Be sure to look at everything, once in a while you might find something that shows where you are not used to looking.

I'm waiting to see if anyone else nabs one of these 1942 DDRs.
It's weak but a very nice spread and you won't see it by looking at EPU.

That variety has already been on the site for a while (1942P-1DR-004). You probably already know, but there is more doubling on many letters of USA. Since Chuck found the first one about 2 years ago, I have found 3 or 4 more of this variety. With many Class 4 reverses for 1942, (1942P-1DO-001,002,004,005,006, and 007)these coins are sleepers that not many folks know about. The only other one like this that I know of off the top of my head is one for 1044D.

Yes they are unknown sleepers.

The reason I posted it is since all the class 6 DDRs are getting posted I just want to let people know to look at the other areas and maybe find something other than class 6 reverses.

I still look at all 42 reverses for any of these.

Guys, I just read this thread, and wish I had seen it earlier! I just finished thre, or four rolls of 44's, and 45's, and 46,m all "D" and "P". I did not check other than date, because I was sorting them out, for ttubes. At least I know where they are! I'll check before going to bed. (Maybe I'll find something, like Carol does, "just before going to bed"> Surprised

On those years you are looking at (44-45-46 be sure to look for extra eyelids, out of a few rolls I bet you will find something in those years.

Ed, I went thru all that were in the solid dat rills, and all I fouund was a lotof dirt, crud, and millions of dings that they have received over the years. I mean they are HORRIBLE!

Right! It looks like I am going to be spending some time over a hot stove, doing some "cooking"! Ont that I won't be "cooking", is a 1922-d. I just fouind it a few minutes ago, along with some teens, and a few 30's. nothing worth a photo, yet. I will post the '22-d, later for comments.
