Im not positive but i think the star counterstamp is from The Order of the Eastern Star. The Order of the Eastern Star is a mixed member branch of freemasonry.

Eric, I imagine you are correct. It has been along, long time since I have read on this subject. '61, I believe. I had a sudden urge for klnowledge, and read everything I could get my hands on, encyclopaedias, The Rosecrucians book, " the Cosmos Conception", anything! I was in a "leadership" training, or instructors school at the time. I don't think it did much good, I still don't know a LOT abou coins varieties, but, I'm learning.
