Kurt, and any one else who has had a problem with where the "A" is pointing. I accidently put a coin to check the "target", and diseovered it was up-side-down, but, looking at the "A" in this case to determine the size of the beads, etc, it was very clear where it was pointing. The rotation of the "A", in many cases is NOT perpendicular with the rim, so I checked several others, which I have been in doubt about, and each became very clear as whether it was "AT' or "Between"!. In those cases where there is any damage, etc in that area makes it very difficult to be sure. Look at it from the RIM, and be sure! Hope this helps!

Hi Dick,
Are you speaking about the 1949 Canadian cent?
Or...perhaps the 1965 1c Large beads/small beads obverses?
Somehow I've stared at both years long enough where it's now a quick read--although I've been known to fool myself long enough for a shock.
The worst was at a show, where I saw a 1949 in MSRD for $4, and I initially thought it was the rare "to denticles" version.
