It is real difficult to say with a circulated and somewhat beat up coin like this one. This looks like it just might be excessive circulation versus extra thickness. I do believe there is a coin from this year that does have a class 6 obverse though.

You might also look close at LIBERTY, see if the spines are curved before you toss it back in the pond. Most big class 6 DDOs have the curved spines, there are a few without it like 1955 1DO-004 but most show up in both areas.
