Reply sent. Since I will be gone for the weekend I will catch up on this next Monday. Perhaps the coin will be here by then. First thing to remember, however, is that it may not be a die variety at all - just be prepared for that possibility and don't get your hopes up too much.
But to answer your question - what would I do?
Well, if it happens to be an RPM I would list it on the site and in the attribution guide, then send the coin and the page of the guide to ANACS for a holder. Done. The chances of getting it an FS number are highly slim, but if it is an RPM then CONECA might appreciate seeing it...if that's your gig - it's not mine. Who knows what they'll call it, they tend to have a habit of calling RPMs too minor to see.
If it's not an RPM I'd sell it for a couple of bucks and get it over with. No need for a slab, not worth the fees.

Hey pennyhound, I recently sent Chuck a nice example of what I see as a 84S RPM, lets both see what Chuck says. My shot at a nice RPM went up when I heard you had one.

Why do you say that? ... is it the same or is it a different RPM.
Check the pictures of mine and please post yours, and by the way ... there is an infinite number of different RPM/s per date, all there is to do is discover them and have them authenticated.
Some will be and some will not be ...
Going by the number of post/s, I see, by your nick name there ... welcome aboard ... JRocco, you should find this site one of the more interesting and informative sites out there, for the advanced as well as the beginer.

Hey pennyhound, thanks for the welcome. Looking at yours (Which I should have done earlier) I do believe that we may have 2 different examples. I will e-mail you a pic of mine for now, until I figure out how to upload mine to this post. I figure that if 2 varieties are found from the same die, they just help authenticate each other.

No problem ... when I get your pic ... I'll post it for you.
Read what Chuck told ya in another post or look around the site there, it's not really hard at all to post pictures, only thing is that it's easyest if ya got some web space to post to then just use the IMG (up there by URL, IMG, LIST= ... see it up there above this post ... under Post a reply?) enter your url and then hit IMG again ... and ya done.
Look in the index also ... tell ya in other words and ways to do it and even gives ya a place to try it out.
(awaiting you picture in email)
Again ... welcome aboard.
Well IC you got it but could you please, do a bit of editing ... lol need to down size that monster a bit. But really looks good, going back to look see again it scared me ... came up as I hit post on reply ... whaoooooooooo ... lol.

Hummm, now that's interesting ... can you get a few shots from the bottom Serif ... with a slight swing to right and left, and maybe a few tilts ...
Looks like maybe the same punch was used (maybe) but can't really tell from shots posted. (I'm looking at the center of the top & bottom of the S/s ... look at em? also the slight "repunched S" ... outside the machine doubled (1st & 2nd north west)
Nope, defiantly, different punches ... just looked like on first glance.
Another strange thing is the doubled (looks ... like machine doubled) punching ??? "Flat shelve-like punching"
Guess we wait and see what Chuck has to say about em.

Got mine back today and seems, it's not gonna make it, as an PRM.
In part:
"Although it has some characteristics that could match the attributes of an RPM, it shows far better signs of machine doubling than repunching."
Thanks for your time, Chuck, will edit the pictures and leave some up, so the thread (pic/s) stays visable to other/s and will continue to search out and post.
