Another '56-D. DDO, eyelid.
I included the date to see the MM position.
Any guesses? Thanks for looking,
Dick

Dick,
I can't quite make out the doubled eyelid, and the mintmark position seems unique. The closest ones for MM position would be DDOs 007 and 009.

Bob, I set up a coin, then run thru the DDO's, to see which one might be close to what I think I'm seeing. Then the grid comes up to compare the MM on the date included.
While we are on this date, and type, are there any die cracks, that run on the lower portion of the coat area? There are two very large, and prominant ones in these coins. One runs just at the High point above the rim, and the other is higher up ion the shoulder. It runs from the rim, up to theback of the arm, and generally ENE, and then down to the front part of the arm. It does not enter the deep area next to the rim.
90% of these will likely be bullion Value. There is extensive pitting, etc.
Dick

Dick,
There are none that have the die cracks like you describe. However, die state will have a lot to do with that also. I also have a bunch of minor 1956D doubled eyelids that I haven't bothered to put on the site (6 more I think). They are too minor, or too beat up to worry about.

Bob, that helps! It eliminates a bunch of coins that I won't look at again. I found another crack. This one runs from the bottom of the arm, and straight up the arm , to the shoulder. A couple ge all the way to the jaw.. All start at the rim. I am sure there are at least ten different dies involved here, but the pitting is ruining most. thanks for looking. It makes my job easier.

Still has some luster, a few dings and rim dings,
That's a super find from circulation.
