I have what looks like a D over a tilted D. The underlying D appears to tilt to the Northwest. I am not familiar with this variety of I am not seeing this correctly?
I's real difficult to read that one. I definitely see what you are seeing under the top serif. What the garbage is in the middle of the mintmark is what concerns me. It has some of the telltale signs of a repunched mintmark (like other 1950D repunched mintmarks), but I think there may also be a die chip in there. Just too difficult to tell right now. _________________ Bob Piazza

Looks similar to a N & N to me. D/D/D. Hard to tell with the die flow but in the image it appears that there is another North. It would take a few more images to tell for sure or see the coin in person. I bet Chuck would be interested in that coin. _________________ Richard S. Cooper
