That double B mint mark is intentional and stands for the Strasbourg mint and was used 1825-70.

Ahh...Okay. Looked a bit too obvious not to be intentional, but you never know til you ask. I really like the piece. Nice color, very nice detail - overall just splendid.
I'd like to have a huge fund to spend on coins, I have many areas of interest that I don't specialize in just because they are more than I can afford on a Lincoln-heavy budget. Perhaps one of these days I can get into collecting some of the foreign large copper, Indian Head cents, two cent coins, and maybe even the large and half cents one of these days in the distant future...but unfortunately for now I have to stick solely to Lincolns for more than one reason (the other is that I spend almost all my time on them now and still don't get very far from day to day.

That is a nice coin. Those Napoleon III coppers are one of those strange issues where the mintages are relatively high (7-8 million) but they're still worth something.
Another feature I like on some foreign coins is the use of a privy mark. On this coin, the anchor at 7 O'Clock is the "Engraver General's" privy mark. The cross at 5 O'Clock is the Strasbourg Mint Director's privy mark.
Sort of like a personal stamp/ autograph. Mexican coins use initials instead.
