Yes, that does appear to be a doubled die. Possibly one I haven't seen yet, which is why it's not in the listings here.

Thanks for the input Chuck. I would really enjoy having a picture of one of my finds on your website so I will send this coin for attribution. I also think I have a 1910P DDR; a 1944 D/S; a 1997P with a phantom D; a 1947 DDO; a 1943S DDR; and a 1937 DDR. A couple of these are definites, the others I am looking for another set of eyes to verify. If this is not a good time to send coins for attribution due to the holidays let me know and I can send them at a later date.
John

What you have there is probably all I could realistically get to and get done before January. Thing is, if you want them sent in for slabbing, it could be February before you see the coins again. Unfortunately I have no control over how quickly ANACS moves.
The other packages you're mentioning - twelve at a time is all I can bear. Send them in one package at a time and we'll get through everything eventually.

Not a problem ... most of those will be in my personnel collection anyways ...
Twelve at a time it is (then) on the other/s, just mention when your ready for them in your reply/s with the ones I'm sending you as I do.
If I find some that are not on the site< I will ask you befor I send them, if not needed, why send em in ... lol.
(Don't work yourself into a frenzy over any of them ... not in that big of a hurry on em ... you need your time too, just try and keep me posted, as we go, is all.)
Cheers
(May I be the first to wish you and your's a very Merry xmas & New Year's ... Happy Holidays)

Hi Pennyhound,
I was just looking at your list of coins you will be sending Chuck and wasn't aware if you knew that the 83 is already listed on the site as 1983P-1DO-001? Are your coins different die states?
In addition, what type of doubling shows on your 1930 coin? I have a nice BU specimen of a class 2 + 6 coin, and I don't want to post pics on the site if it is the same one you are sending Chuck. Also...your 1982 SM Dt coin...Is it class 1? This is for my info only as I don't know specifically what arrangements you and Chuck have already made. Many thanks!

The 1983 (1-O-V) are earlier die states (both) but as you can see from the list I'll post at bottom of this post ... it'll be up to Chuck & yourself if you want to use them or not I'd est them (VEDS's) (I also listed em as not needed but again its up to you guys as to post or not - the lot isn't going to ANACS till early January and ya have plenty of time to deside on that)
The 1930 doubling maybe the same as your specimen ... if it is ... it is stated on site here ... 1st come ... post what-ever shows up 1st ... I'm assuming ... that which ever is the better of the two will be used ... also stated on site ... the best is the one that should be posted for the rest of the comminuty to see and learn from ... I to agree that this is what it should be ... don't you? Go ahead and post your's and if mine is that much better ... the call will be up the the powers to be ... I just want to give the people a 'look see' at the coin and hopefully, the better of the two coins ... don't think either of us would be upset nor wanting, other than the best to be posted. (myself, it's not for me, it's for the comminuty)
The 1982 Sm/Dt ... may, well be a Class V or maybe even a doubled pressing. Looking at the date I'd have to say the class V, as the one in date isn't 'humped, but more doubled and spread' terminology could be II+V, you guys are more experienced there, call it as ya see it ... he he he.
All, of what I have sent in ... is for forwarding to ANACS ... and if needed for use on the web site, for the pictures and information to the rest of the comminuty.

Hi folks...there's every chance that they could be different die states, which would make them all useful in one way or another. Kind of like learning any subject, the more books you see on that same subject the more knowledgeable you are. I welcome all submissions.

Ron,
Thanks for the clarification on your coins. That's why I requsted the info. I know very well what the rules are concerning posted images and the first come or better pictures criteria. All I am trying to do is prevent duplication of effort between Chuck and myself. As far as the 83 DDO, I just needed to know if yours was an earlier die state. Now that I know it is, then I can't wait to see the pics Chuck posts. That is a very nice coin, and I want to compare the markers on that EDS coin to a circ example I have that may or not be an EDS. We will definitely post those pics on the site.
As far as the 1930 DDO, I will wait until the pics of yours are posted. I have over 200 coins that I need to photograph and post on the site, and If I don't need to take pictures of a particular coin, than all the better for me
The 1982 intrigues me because of the small number of doubled dies for that year. I can't wait to see the pics of those either.
Other than that...great job! You have some great coins there, and they will go VERY nicely on the site. Thanks again for the clarification!
