Check out this clash, never had a canadian one. You can see it mainly where the leaves come together, right under & in the right leaf. Work your magic overlay "King Coop" Smile

Teri, I hate to be a "party-pooper", but what you see on the leaf, snuggled dopwn close tonthe other leaf, is not a clash. I imagine that little bit of crud, maybe some sort of glue or plastic, but not a clash. That year IS very prone to clashes, and I have several. most will be seen on the portrait, under the chin, and around the lips, and even the bridge og the nose. Also behind the neck. On the rev, most will be above the date, towards the stem.

Teri: I find the mark below the leaves more interesting? I'll have to see if I can find a BU Cent to see if I can fix up an overlay for you. It will have to be later on. Time to go to work. Yes I Get up early. 2:30 AM

Teri, while coop is working, I found a couple pictures that will show the clash areas thaty are the most prone to meet:

I did not notice the "spot under the leaves, so I missed that part. I did see the "stuff" on the leaf.
See if this helps.

Teri, while coop is working, I found a couple pictures that will show the clash areas thaty are the most prone to meet:

This area usually involves the chin, and throat area
This image does not show the area below the chin, where the stems, etc of the leaves are shown in a clash.
I did not notice the "spot under the leaves, so I missed that part. I did see the "stuff" on the leaf.
See if this helps.

Here is a 1977. I used a 1998 Cent first. It was BU, but after completing it, then I noticed the two years were entirely different. So here is the 1977:

I see it in 3 areas. If it's not a clash I'm not sure what it is. A mystery. Smile

I don't know what that spot is uunder the leaf, but the areas of "normal" clash are not involved, from what I can see. I'll pull some of the best '79 OBV, and REV, for the images, and also include some of the clash areas, as well. Coop the overlays are beauties, but for some reason the portrait seems to be high.
Later: I also sent you am email, re this.
