A few more moderns to look for:
There's 3+ different 83 DDOs plus the giant DDR.
There's a second nice 84 DDO and several lesser ones.
The neat 1994 DDRs.
The 1995-D DDO (not just the P, the D is worth more)
The 1997 DDO earlobe.
The 2006 DDO earlobe, one other big DDO and many lesser ones.
There's more good stuff.
Have you used the search function to see them all?

Ed,
Wow. Definitely overwhelming. I'm going out today to swap coins again, and look for an eyepiece. I'd rather buy in person than on the net but beggers can't be choosers.
Oh I forgot. Went through my coins last night. Found 4 Wheat Ears. Lots O' pre 83. A few S's. I love S's. There is just something about finding them. No DD's, atleast to the naked eye. I feel that I'm probably missing things without a magnifier, but I'm just too impatient to wait. I figure whatever I miss some other collector might pick up so it's alright.
I'll let you know how I make out at the bank.

Oh and I posted this so if you have an answer for me please feel free to let me in on the secret . http://www.coppercoins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5410

Thanks Garry. He had roughly 450 wheat ears alone. Another couple hundred of pre-82 copper. Some dates:
1909
1910
1911
1912
1896 Indian Head
1943 D & S
Multiple S mint marks
Non-copper he had a V nickel
A few silver coins. No halves or Ikes though.
A large 1 gallon bag about 1/3 full of world coins.
Lot's of other treasures too.

Your dad must jave been like me, "just checking to see what is out there". I imagine you will find later on, that he either developed an interest in just a small area, and began to develop a system of storage, and safe-keeping. If it was as unknown generally, as you indicate, you could be in for some surprises. he would like that. I say this because all my kids, frand kids, and great grand lids, know i collect, bit none of them have shown any inyerest in collecting. they seem to be waiting to take that "old can of coins", to the band, and "collect" what the bank will pay for them. I am hoping my gr-gr-grandson will be interested. he was born in August, so he has not had much time to get interested.

Very true, Marshall!
I have had many collections, but the most part of them have gone to "deed the kids", when times were hard. So in effect, I have been collecting since about 2005, with any degree of seriousness. I was collecting "coins". mostly wheats, and looking for "doubles". It went on for about a year, and i got acquainted with this forum, and quickly became a "varieties" collector. Being retired, for many years, kids all grown, and being 'grand, or great frand parents, also, I don't have to worry too much about "feeding the kids" anymore!. Now I am able to spend a small part for coins, and enjoy them, more in detail.
My dad had a "dictionary" type mechanical coin bank that was given him whils a child. He never had a chance to do more than "feed us kids", due to the situation, the WWII, and other things. This "bank, I still have, and the few coins that were in it. There are mostly one of each denomination, thru the quarter, and mostly barbet, liberty , buffalo, and wheat. He had a $5.00 gold coin, that he showed me, just before they went out of circulation, So I can say I have seen and held one of them, even if IO was only a child. I don't collect gold, or much silver, for obvious reasons, the economy, and a fixed income. I am working on my IHC collection, and have several folders working. Some are full, except fot the '77, and '09-S. the others are in various stages of population, and growing. I am also working on a "problem coin" IHC collection. It is not as easty as it would seem. Those suckers are expensive! My GR-GR-GRandson will have his hands full, no matter which he should decide to work on, in oparticular, because I have boxes of solid date rolls of wheats, IJHC, Canadian, and then there are the proof sets in Can, US, and a ton of Mexican coins. He will be busy!

Dick,
That's really cool that your saving all that for your family. That will be such a great treasure for them to hunt through once it is passed on. It's also something that you and your family will share forever. I hope to share these things with my future generations. It will always be a link from you to the ones you've never met. That's pretty neat.

Marshall, when it gets that far down the line, I will be 105, when the triple GR happesn, based on the "repition rate of the younger generations. I hope to still be playing with my coins, then It isn't that far off, considering....
I made a new work-station where I stand as I sort thru the rolls, and boxes. I get tired sitting!
I have the dual monitors in fron, while seated, another monitor on my right to use as the database for all the images on Chucks sit. On the left is my CCTV reader, which I use to check my IHC images from Rick's guides. Two book cases, one has the 3-ring binders, with the 20-coin/page, in one, and the other is my reference books. My idea is: I can't remember all of them, but I know where to look for the info to make the attributions. Enjoy youir day, as I always do,
Dick

I don't make a precise count of the coins "pre", or "post", 82. I save all 82's, and all before '90, ( for the RPM's). Anything after that sate are groups of "known's", and they are recycled, if nothing found. I did think it 's ""odd' that out of three boxes, that there are 16 rolls of '70's. BTW, they srtill are waiting their turn....

If this is what you refer to: Beginning 1990, the MM were not hand-punched on the working hub, therefor, no more RPM's after 1989.

Ok, RPM is Rare PM's? Or something else. I only search 98 99 00 for WAM and 83 for CAM.
