Finally getting to the bottom of the hoard of 24,000 cents that I bought a couple of months ago. Lots of interesting stuff!
Here's one that I'm guessing is a "dropped letter".
Here's a pic of an "A" in CANADA from the reverse side for comparison:

If it is incuse, it is probably a counterstamp, not a clash.

It may well be a dropped letter (partial dropped "A"). The incuse letter follows the design's topography rather than completely interrupting it, as would be the case with a punched-in letter or a contact mark.
