BarryN,
I don't know of any varieties in the large beads. There are, (but not that reliable 0, three types of beads, (on the large cents. I know nothing of the other denominations), and one is an oblong shape, pointing E-W, for one size leaves, and another oblong oriented N-S for another, while the round leaf was the large size. i have been told that the shapes are unreliable for determining the leaf size.
As far as full face shots, I can't make any larger coverage, due to the prototype setup I have with the camera/scope. i would have to dismaount the camera, and later realign it so the lens would enter the "donut-shaped tube on the eyepiece. i can go mush closer for very detailed views.
for full face views, i can use the 20X, on the scope, and get about i/4, to 1/3 of the coin. with the three, or four shots, you could make a composite view. That is the only way i can "look" at my coins.
