Hello Dottir Hope you are having a wonderful holiday. My grandfather just passed away at the fine age of 98 on Dec 15 the day before my birthday. At the services, ran into some cousins that also did a geneology on our family and found out that I had 2 relatives that were oarsmen with Washington on his crossing of the Delaware among other intersetimg facts.I am very interested in this info and will be getting into it further.Have a great day all.God Bless and Happy New Year

Hi Ken
For starters, I'm very sorry that you've lost your Grandfathers presence in your life. What a LONG long life full of all sorts of experiences he had. You must be missing him so much this Christmas!
That's amazing and fun info to learn from your cousins about your ancestors. Some of my ancestors, especially the Icelandic side, trace back to some very centuries ago amazing ancestors and life times. Fascinating stuff!!! I'm glad you're having fun finding out about your family history. Sure makes a person feel connected to a long umbilical cord connected line to these people, our people, hey? This stuff fascinates me.
Happy Belated Birthday to you as well, Ken!!! I know it must have been partly sad day. I can't help but think of your birth, and your Grandfathers birth that made you possible, his passing away and your birthday intertwined like that.
Well, back to here now. Time to check and baste my stuffed bird now!
Oh, my holiday is good. Different ups and downs added to this year's Christmas season

Thank you again too. Alzheimers sure does take a lot of people partly or completely before they're gone. I like to believe peoples spirits are free at last and happily at one with their loved family and friends that have passed before them too. Its just sometimes hard or us left behind to learn how to shift our minds and lives to carry on without them and celebrate what these peoples lives were and how they changed us and our world and so many keep changing and adding good stuff after they're gone. Thats what I call "physical life immortality" LOL

Hello, I just felt like giving a shout to say I'm still here, still interested in this forum but haven't a coin worthy of posting in here as yet. Seems like me and most people in here are also very active daily in CCF too so I find I post there a lot and am in lots of conversations.
I haven't been searching too many rolls lately but may get another $10 worth of customer wrapped ones from my bank next week. Too darned cold to go out today. It was -18 celcius outside when I last checked the airport temp report about an hour ago.
Still waiting for my first great DD Lincoln find suitable for Coppercoins forum to show you all, which I will definately do when I think I've scored one
Where's my patience argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a lot of backed up coins on hand to finally be able to see properly!
For the record, a milestone for me, I now have an active Paypal account so I can now participate more as and when I can budget that in. It's very awesome to know I have a way of buying things online now because a lot of things I need or want just can't be found in this town! Including coins or coin related items! Small community I have the means to makes transactions as I can, budget permitting. Thats exciting!
My first purchase is a 10x loupe! Its in the mail as of today. Soon it'll be "I can SEE! I can SEE! It's a MIRACLE!"

I too am making head way into going into new "directions" with my cents...
I am starting up activity this week on eBay for the first time in six years. I will start selling next week.
I have started going into the rolls I have in storage looking through them for goodies. I have been through 50 rolls this week!
I am looking into creating a Teletrade account to start selling off some of the coins I have.
I have purchased over $3000 in Lincoln cents so far this year - that's a budget larger than my entire year's budget just three years ago.
I am working on improving the code to lincolncent.com to make it more navigable and easier to use. I am also incorporating coupon codes to give out to collectors to allow them to save for being return customers.
Things are improving here!

Wow, sounds like a LOT of progress for you Chuck Your biz looks like its growing and growing. Good luck with the ebay and selling!
My fingers are crossed that I can get more involved and participate more and more with buying and selling, as I go, and maybe grow with this for myself while building my own little collections sets of Canadian and US coins. Its currently pretty complicated for me to be able to branch out into selling anything at the moment, but am hoping I can make that possible and happen so's I don't go backwards (red tape and hoops to jump through first)
I can see how this whole "hobby level I'm at the beginning of" can progress and branch out in a lot of different directions and take me down some cool roads and meet lots of cool people and new friends along the way.
I so enjoy all of this! I can't imagine myself losing interest as long as I can keep running with this and see where it take me.
