About damn time that shyster got thrown in jail. Maybe Ron Paul and his misguided supporters will see a little light now.

Hi, I'm not familiar with Ron Paul. What's the story there?

Ron Paul is a US congressman and sometimes Presidential candidate who supports Von NutHouse, and Von NutHouse supports Ron Paul. Both support the ridiculous idea of return to precious metals for coinage.

IMO, both are deluded morons.

Do a google search with both of their names and you'll get some interesting info.

Is Ron Paul the older or youngest.
The youngest is from across the river in Ky. and he's the Aqua Budda guy Laughing

The only thing I do go along with him, is the abolishment of both the Federal Reserve, and above all the IRS!
If the revenue system was equal, a 3% flat tax, would give the government more money than they could spend, even with Obama spending it!

When GE can make 5 BIL. in profits, and not pay ONE CENT in taxes, it is time to do something!
Sorry about hi-jacking the thread, but when IRS is part of the topic, I get mad as hell!

GIVE "EM" HELL Dick.

I agree with the flat tax rate, but I think it would have to be a little higher to abolish all federal, state and local taxes.

Another way to get our country out from under debt would be a national lottery. This way they can supply the Bank of Afganistan the $900 billion that they are asking for, and maybe give $200 million to Africa to study why the population is growing and alot of other dum stuff they give money too.

I've read some interesting ideas on why this Nothaus guy was convicted and opposing viewpoints. I don't know what the difference is between his coins and Daniel Carrs other than the way they are promoted. If this guy had called the coins Prototypes, maybe he would be O.K. to make them. I do think he probably has some raddicle ideas that are pretty scarey and make him a bigger target?

He wants a return to the gold/silver standard, with his 'coins' being used.

No doubt, he's a gifted diesinker -- he founded the NotHaus Mint, which became the Royal Hawaiian Mint. I have many items he had a hand in creating, but he's advocating a complete takeover of the USA's financial system.

He had been told to quit -- at least once via a Cease and Desist order. He continued minting his garbage and basically promoting it as replacement currency.

Here's an article that has good info: http://caps.fool.com/blogs/fbi-busts-mastermind-criminal/560372

That is a good article Smed. I'm having a hard time finding actual photos and info on the coin. The threads are simular to others I've been reading. In this link it talks about Utah succeeding from the nation. It really bothers me that I don't know more about that and it doesn't seem to be an issue to folks I talk to?

This sounds like the guy over in Evansville, In. a few yrs. ago, but instead of using them as money, he used it for bartering.
He got prison time

So, who do the authorities haul to the hoosegow?

Compare Mr. von NotHaus's money to the money issued by the US Treasury Department. The Treasury's Dollars have no precious metal content – none. At best, their content comes from trees and cotton plants, with a scrap value that is probably negative. Meaning, if it loses its value as money, you'll have to pay someone to haul it away.

The record on that point is clear. Go back to when the Fed was set up to protect the value of the Dollar in 1913. If you want to buy the same things, you'll need 50 times as many Dollars today as you have back then. Since 1971, when the last traces of Gold and Silver were removed from the Dollar-based monetary system, the feds' money has lost value even faster.

The past is prelude. The feds are working hard to make the Dollar worth even less in the future. Given the Fed's current enthusiasm for debasing it, in a few years, the Dollar may have no value left.

Even state governments – hardly visionaries – are looking for ways to protect their citizens from the feds' fast-disappearing cash. A dozen are considering measures to coin their own money. Smart families are setting up their own reserves of real money – Gold an Silver. Nobody trusts the Dollar over the long term.

So, who do the authorities haul to the hoosegow? The guy who mints honest money in tiny quantities...or the guy who puts out $2.2 trillion in "paper" money that is sure to lose its value quickly? Go ahead...take a guess.
