I found a couple of 1941P coins that appear to have some doubling but it is not as strong as DDO's #1, 2 or 3. Here is a link to some pictures of what I saw.
On this one the top of the 9 and 4 in the date appear to have some doubling. At first I thought it might be machine doubling but the 1's in the date do not show any machine doubling. I thought it was unlikely that the middle numbers could have machine doubling without the first and last # showing the same.
Kind of hard to say, but the pics of the 9 and 4 look like mechanical doubling to me. Not having the same doubling on the 1 can mean it has worn away, or that the doubling was limited to the center of the date. I would expect to see splits on the serifs of the 4 had this been a true DDO. Don't quite know what to expect out of the other pics. Seems possible, but very minor. _________________ Bob Piazza
