I found a nice 57D 1MM-003 that shows a nice D/D/D RPM. My question is what is trying to peek out from behind the 5? It is raised and very visible- more than these pics show. Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

I have found the same thing on a couple of my RPMs. Looks like a tooling mark or die gouge.
