Any pics or markers for the 1937-P DDOs?

Does anyone have pics of the 1937 DDOs or know this marker?

It's not any of the ones listed here.

It has a wide shaft of 9 with a sep line, sep lines on both curves of the 3 and slight sep line on the vertical shaft of 7. It has a wide LIBERTY mostly on BERTY and nice doubling above IGT mostly above the G, O, D, E, T, R, S.

It has a nice marker, a die dot or tiny cud that is positioned if you made a line from in between the U and S of trust down to the eye the dot would be in the field in about the center of that line.

Anyone know which variety this is? : ))

Thought I had that one, but mine is a S mint.

Great year for doubled dies though.

That 37-s pic you have looks similar on liberty and the date except on this 37-p the 3 has more sep and nice doubling above IGT.

Yep 36 and 37 were awesome years for DDs.

Is the one in your pic the 37-s 1D002?

Yes it is 1937S-1DO-002. I had to check and make sure. It does have the die gouge behind the head. Thanks for reminding me of it.

I'm tired of the low res. and having to find the right angle over the eye piece. (hand held)

This one inserts into one of the eye peices of the microscope itself. (providing hands free operation, should get it next week, X-mas present to self) Cool

Which one is the one your referring to here ... I have a 37D and will look at it for you but not sure which 37 your referring to, here.

If I like the above camera (or not) will post/s some pictures of it, (37D - 1-O-V) for you, if you like.

Pennyhound: I took these images a few years back with a $60 microscope, $20 light system and a hand held digital camera. It just depends on how well you can use what you have. I don't use that set up today, but got well adept at using what I had.

I agree ... most of us just have to use what we have to the best of our ablilities ... works wanders. (if first you don't succeed ... try, try again)

I would be interested to hear how you find this camera. I had one flagged to bid on and hesitated spending that much. I purchased a similar, lower resolution camera in the past (640 x 480) and hated it.

Be advised tho, tech support from them, isn't very good at all ... best thing to do is just figure it out for yourself ... don't wait for a call back, thy will never call, least thy didn't for me.

It's all there, just have to make heads & tails of it all.

I've returned a few items and didn't have any trouble there, the camera is nice but you have to work with the lighting and the picture to get it were you want it.

Only other thing I noticed was that the driver isn't signed, so windows will not want to load it ... but it will if you click contiue, after it warns you not to. I had called about that to the above number and was told to just contiue to load it and as said above ... the rest is just figuring it all out, which isn't that hard just a bit fustrating.

I like the camera because it leaves you hands free and you can twist it in the eye peice to get the right angle for your pictures, less bother and adjusting the item being photographed.

You should get a good lighting system to go with it ... which thy also sell ... both will run you about 300 each.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get an overlay with it ... but guess I'll ask on here agian ... when I really want one, have ask befor on different post/s but no-one has answered them as of yet ... guess its not very tricky just have to know how to ... which I don't at this time. If ya get one and need so help with setting it up ... post and I or others will give ya a hand.

I am not sure you know this or not, but by reading your post here, I am questioning you comment on overlays. Just to let you know, overlays are not accomplished with the camera, but with your editing software. A lot of times, the same picture is used with two different layers, and the opacity function.
Anyway, it can be complicated, but once you learn, it is pretty easy.

Thanks for the info. I've purchased from that seller before and never had a problem. I'm looking for something more comfortable to work with.

Let's see:

1 - Trinocular scope - approx. $400 to $500
1 - camera - $300
1 - lighting setup - $300

This may require an equity loan.

The "opacity function", were is this in the "PHOTOSHOP" I got the 5.0 version after you or someone else had posted that ... I placed a link there.

I would really like to know how to do this (overlay/s) and can follow instruction/s pretty well, or better after, each try at it.

When ya get the time (you or Chuck) it would really be appreciated, I know I'm not the only one here.

The opacity function is usually in the box on the task bar on the bottom right hand side where the Layers/Channels/ Paths show up. I am not absolutely sure where it is on Photoshop Version 5 as I do not use that one any more.

I will try to write something up about doing overlays and post it here. I will need to get with Coop and Chuck about making sure I get it right, as they have much more experience at it than I do. Keep watching! I will post it on the photography section when I get it done...OK??
