I am not sure just what this is. I think its British but my books don't go back that far. I bought it as 1739 but I am not sure about that. I am pritty sure its a Doubled Die unless the master was doubled or it was double struck. LOL Any help would be a great help on this rare piece of numismatic history, or is it a token or a counterfeit. Thanks lucky2

Looks like this one. The date on your photo looks to me like 1787.

I had the same thought about the date. I do not think there is a ligitamate 1739 coin and I just can't resist the unknown.
