Is it possible to get decent pics of coins in graded holders?
I'm sure it would be worse than if not in plastic, just wondering if you can still get decent pics.

Ed, You can get some decent pics while the coins are in holders. The sharpness may suffer, and depending on your camera, and scratches or nicks on the slab may affect the picture. The best thing to do is give it a shot and see how your set-up does.

You just have to watch out for glare by tilting it an angle so the light from the coin (not the plastic) gets into your camera. Watch the surface you place your slabs on. The microscope should have something on the deck to keep from nicking the slab on the reverse. Just don't want an wrong actions that will damage the slab. Scratches, chips and such are there for a long time. (unless you have it slabbed again.)
