Good point--it's tricky to compare two photos if one was shot off angle. In this scenario, you'd find misalignment relative to a particular direction (such as 9:00 and 3:00). That's why I chose to look only at angles of individual letters. Doing this, I found PS is particularly good at blending two images using layer transparency. The trick of course is finding a value that reveals differing features everywhere.
Regarding links, I think all you need to do is like this:

For CCF, the only difference is the url is surrounded by quotes, such as:
