Bob, thanks for the correction. I get confused by the similarities of those two series, seeing they were both designed by Longacre.

That's also a nice set of IHCs. They all sure look like RPDs to me, however I don't have the attribution guide from the 1890-99, and I could not pin down the 1901 and 1906 IHCs for a precise match. Confused On the second 1906, I also see a trace inside the upper loop, so it could be a 1/1 (s), 6/6 (n), and 6/6 (s) Confused

Kurt, It will be posted a bit later. i'm going thru the coins, and setting aside the ones I want to poast, with various oddities, etc. Right now they are being sorted out by Canada, Mexico, countries that I will keep, and tokens, etc, etc, which included that one from ????, and returns. The returns dish is not very many! LOL!

Jay,
The 3 on the Snow-2 is very distinctive and your coin matches to me. If you compare on the previous page, you'll also see that die scratch inside the lower loop of the 9. The position of the 1 is also used as a marker, and that looks the same too.

I have the Snow attribution guide and the pic there and the description does not show doubling on the 1. The reverse is described as "Shield points connected to the denticles."

Look at different angles to try to see it on the center of the 3.
The lower part of the 3 looks like a match for S2, same weak gap in the 3 below the 3.

Maybe whatever is on the 1 is unrelated.

Smile

I'm not sure that's doubling on the 1 because the 3/3 is south.

Garry,

Can't say if I see "Shield points connected to the denticles." Maybe the right one, but not the left...

eagames,

Try as I might, I cannot see anything inside the lower loop of the 3......different die state???

I don't know, but always good to discuss.

I think I agree with Kurt, possible MD, on the ONE ( 1 ) now that I look at it closer, AND the fact that the secondary 3 is south like Kurt said.
