I dont know why that would not show up, Smed. Looks like you have no spaces. As long as you copied it out of the little box that appears when you run the cursor over the image, it should work. Here is what the script looks like with a space I intentionally left between jpg and [/img]. When you remove that space the image appears as follows below.

Garryn, that is NOT a Mexican coin, and especially of that date. the coins then were about the size of our cent, The coin shown appears to be two-pence, from the UK. don't ask which part, I am not that well iinformed!

You are quick on the trigger today, Dick. Thats just a test photo I was using for an img image. That coin is from Finland, 1909. The N is a decorative acronym of Czar Nicholas.
I do have a real cool Mexican coin with a repunched date that I should have an image of. I will look and try to post it tonight.

Right--that one's a bit removed from Mexico--it looks like a 5 Penniä.
The Finland occupation coins are very distinctive--the copper tones very well.
Look forward to seeing that Mexican overdate!

I figured it out... whatever the ?t=1260487094 on the end of the URL is is what caused it not to work.

Would that be Nicolas II? Just a guess, from the II at the bottom.

Yes--and the last Tsar before the Soviet versions came.
But it was soon moot for Finland, as it gained independence on 5 December, 1917.

Maybe the "Fins" didn't like the "Ruples" and, ( the treatment that goes with them), sought independence!

Fortunately--compared to the Baltic states, Finland enjoyed some autonomy under both expansionist Sweden (back when they were a military bully), and then Russia who took the territory in 1809 chiefly to serve as a buffer zone between St. Petersburg and Sweden's military. Fortunately, Finland wasn't Russified like the Baltic states by gradual assimilation, so independence was a cleaner break.

Kurt, that is a nice interesting "history" lesson! Now I can understand why the "tigers wife" resorted to the golf club.
On another note, I accidentally found another source if info on the Canadian large cent. I clicked on "oklacda" profile, (CCF, Canadian varieties), and it came up. The coverage in that area might be interesting to you.
