As I continue to search through my wheat cents jar,I've noticed that MOST of the 1941S coins have machine doubling in the date and mint mark.It is always a northern spread and always the small mint mark variety. At first I was excited that this may be a nice RPM,but could not attribute it properly, and when I saw the same spread in the date,I knew I was looking at shelf-like doubling. In fact,on one example the doubling was also in all the letters of LIBERTY and on two letters in the motto.Have others noticed this or do I have an unusual distribution of these coins?

I haven't seen it heavily distributed in any one date and mint, but the mintmarked coins of the late 30s and early 40s do tend to show quite a bit of machine doubling.
