According to Coin World, p. 3 of August 4 issue, the idea is to create one or more "special" commemorative reverses for 2009.
What would be some design suggestions for the commemorative?
The obverse of the Lincoln cent is the longest running design in US history I believe. The article says that Lincoln was the first historical figure to appear on a US coin. It was also the first (and therefore only?) cent to bear the inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST".
