I am a little more than half way through searching 2 gallons of circulated Lincoln Memorials. Most of these are AU bright. I use the QX5 for quick refrence and searching after i find something with a ten power glass. If anybody else uses the QX5 or Qx3 do you see ghost images in the field below the date and above and below the word Liberty. Do you have opinions as to how these images get where they are? Just rotate a coin under any bright light and high magnification and you can see all sorts of images. Where do they come from? Thanks lucky2

Ghost images? I covered a subject on die clashes in another forum subject. Is this what you are seeing as ghost images:

Or are you seeing shadows from several light sources. Several meaning outside light where you don't want it from windows. Or even light from the room you working in, finding its way to the coin under your scope? I use as a curtain/diffuser for unwanted light but blocking out the unwanted light by using either white paper, or a white facial tissue to block the other directions of light to under the scope. This works as it removes stronger, brighter light to reach the decices on the coin. So if you think you have unwanted light, try placing you hand to the right/left/upper/lower direction to see if the glare/ghost goes way. If it helps try blocking that with a paper/facial tissue as it does really help.
